Salem Senateaires Place 5th in World Championships
The Salem SenateAires Men’s Chorus won its first medal in an international competition.
The chorus won a fifth-place bronze medal in the 74th annual International Barbershop Harmony Chorus Competition. The competition was held Friday July 7th at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland.
This year, the group performed a comedy routine entitled “The Caveman,” complete with Stone Age costumes and choreography.
Formed in 1954, the Salem SenateAires draws members from Salem, Portland, Eugene, Bend and Lincoln City. The chorus has won its district championship a record-breaking dozen times!
