I realize that your schedule will be very busy at the upcoming International Convention in Nashville, but was hoping that we might be able to find a few minutes to get together to talk about travel opportunities for your chorus. I am currently working with several Barbershop choruses on tours, both domestic and international, and would like to see if we can find something that might be of interest to your group. A Barbershopper myself, I represent Witte Travel & Tours, a travel company with over 30 years of experience in working with tours for performing groups. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to share some ideas with you while we are in Nashville.

Please let me know if there is a time that would work for you. Or, if there are other people within the chorus who would be responsible for travel projects, please pass the information along to them.

Best regards,

Hi Chuck,

We have no age limit!!!! If a person can sing then we want them... yes you have to be able to stand on the risers all evening and be able to do the moves we have in the songs we sing but again we have no age limit. Please have them contact our Membership VP, Brian Turner at sgtbigbird@gmail.com

Thanks

I am music VP, Midnight Sons, in Anchorage. In visiting the Williamette Luthern Retirement Home there was interest in starting a just for fun barbershop group. Can you give me a referral to local singers who may be interested or already have a group going? I understand they would not qualify to sing with the Senateaires.

Thanks

comments Many of you may have already heard that my dad, Harry Armstrong, died early this morning (May 7th). We are having a celebration of his life this Saturday at 11:00 AM in Corvallis at the Evangelical Church, 1525 NW Kings Blvd.

Mom (Joan) and I are trying to find a recording of the gospel medley that the chorus and some of the quartets sang to use at dad's service. We think the three songs are How Great Thou Art, I'll Fly Away, and When the Roll is Called Up Yonder (we don't know what order they were in). Does anyone have a good recording of this that we can borrow? Our phone is 541-753-3965.

Thanks for checking.

Just wanted to drop a friendly hello and say I enjoy checking up on the progress you guys continue to make. I have very fond memories of listening at rehearsals and shows when my dad, Bob Bean, and brother, Scott Bean, were involved.

I have to say that one of my all time favorite memories was at Internationals in Georgia in 98' when you guys sang in the hotel lobby. Just thinking about Jeff Shaw singing the Tennessee Waltz puts goosebumps down my arms!! WOW!!

Keep up the amazing work guys!!

I don't understand. The Harmony Fdtn show is at Pepsi Center at 7:30 and our chorus is supposed to rehearse from 8:30 to 9:30 and then sing on the Ajer show. Do we have the time wrong here?

Sorry to keep bugging you. One of our guys asked if the chorus members are expected to donate. Also, when does the show start and where will it be?

» Steve Moore posted:

I think it's $10 but it has always been a donation as it is a benefit show for the Harmony Foundation but we usually ask for $10 to get in.
